“I have something to announce,” my father said recently. He told us that we had to move to the countryside because of his job.
I had always lived in the city. I was worried that there wouldn’t be much to do. So, I asked my parents, “What will I do in such a quiet place?”
My mother replied, “Why don’t we visit the town first?” We went there for three days to see our future home.
We visited a beautiful river near the mountains. A local woman asked us, “Can I take your photo?” She also told us about the town’s unique charm.
At my new school, a teacher welcomed me, saying, “We are happy to have you join us.” Some students invited me to play games.
“Are you still nervous about moving?” asked my father. I replied, “Everyone is friendly, and the town is wonderful. I think I will enjoy living here.”
The trip changed how I felt. Although moving is a big challenge, I am now looking forward to my new life in the countryside.

「話があるんだ」と、先日父が言いました。仕事の都合で、田舎へ引っ越さなければならないというのです。
私はずっと都会で暮らしていたので、やることがあまりないのではと心配になりました。
「そんな静かな場所で何をしたらいいの？」と両親に尋ねました。
すると母は、「それなら、まず町を見に行ってみない？」と答えました。私たちは将来住む町を見に3日間訪れました。
山の近くにある美しい川を訪れました。地元の女性が「写真を撮りましょうか？」と声をかけてくれ、その町ならではの魅力についても教えてくれました。
新しい学校では、先生は「みんな君が来てくれてうれしいよ」と言って温かく迎えてくれました。生徒たちも遊ぼうと誘ってくれました。
「まだ引越しが不安かい？」と父が聞きました。「みんな親切だし、町もとても素敵だね。ここなら楽しく暮らせそう。」と私は答えました。
この旅行で気持ちが変わりました。引越しは大きな挑戦ですが、今では田舎での新しい生活が楽しみです。
