The Capybara (110 words)

One day, some students went to a zoo. A guide said, “I want to show you a special animal.” They were excited as they walked to the area.
They saw a capybara. It looked like a very large hamster, and it had a big body. It was about one meter long and sixty centimeters tall.
These animals live in forests in South America. They are friendly and love to swim in the water. They are active during the day.
“Let’s feed it!” one boy shouted. The students gave it pieces of fruit and grass. The animal made a lot of funny sounds.
The capybara and the students were all happy.

ある日、生徒たちは動物園に行きました。ガイドさんが「特別な動物を見せてあげましょう」と言いました。生徒たちはわくわくしながら、その場所へ向かいました。
そこでカピバラを見ました。とても大きなハムスターのようで、体が大きいです。
長さは約1メートル、高さは約60センチメートルあります。
これらの動物は南アメリカの森に住んでいます。おだやかな性格で、水の中で泳ぐのが大好きです。昼間に活動します。
「えさをあげよう！」と一人の男の子がさけびました。生徒たちはくだものや草をあげました。カピバラたちは、おもしろい声をたくさん出しました。
カピバラも生徒たちも、みんなとても幸せでした。
