\tMarie Curie was a famous scientist. She was born in Poland in 1867. Her family was poor, but she was very clever. She always worked hard at school.<\/p>\n

\tAt sixteen, she finished school. She worked as a teacher to help her family. But she told herself, \u201cI want to learn about science.\u201d She began doing experiments.<\/p>\n

\tHer father saw her talent and asked, \u201cWhy don’t you go to Paris to study?\u201d Marie was worried about her father and said, \u201cI must stay and take care of you.\u201d But her father said, \u201cPlease use your talent for the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tSo, Marie moved to Paris. She studied hard at a university and became a top student. There, she met Pierre Curie, a French scientist, and married him. Pierre said, \u201cMarie, let’s work together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tTheir work was very difficult. One night, Marie said, \u201cI am tired,\u201d Pierre answered, \u201cOur work is for everyone. We should not give up!\u201d Finally, they found radium and won a Nobel Prize.<\/p>\n

\tAfter Pierre died in an accident, Marie was lonely. She wrote, \u201cI cannot live without him.\u201d However, she stayed strong. She said, \u201cI must continue our important work.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tIn 1911, she received another Nobel Prize for chemistry. Marie Curie became one of the most famous scientists in history. Her story is still important today and their work benefits everyone.<\/p>\n
