One day there was a great but dying king. He had twin sons, Jerico and Samuel. Each brother had his own beautiful white horse. Which brother would become the next king?<\/p>\n

\tThe king had a message for them. Barton, the king\u2019s advisor read it to the brothers, \u201cThe kingdom will be for the man whose horse loses the great race.\u201d<\/p>\n

\t\u201cLet\u2019s race tomorrow!\u201d said Jerico. \u201cWe\u2019ll go from the forest to the castle!\u201d said Samuel. Barton said, \u201cRemember that your horse must lose the race and then you will become king.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tEarly next morning, both brothers and horses were ready. \u201cOn your mark, get set, go!\u201d yelled Barton. The two started racing at full speed. However, they slowed down because they didn\u2019t want to win the race.<\/p>\n

\tFinally, Samuel asked, \u201cIf we continue to go slow until we stop, nobody will win or lose the race.\u201d <\/p>\n

\t\u201cHow can we decide the loser of the race?\u201d asked Jerico.<\/p>\n

\t Barton arrived and said, \u201cYoung men, I\u2019ll tell you my idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tAfter listening to Barton\u2019s idea, both sons jumped on the horses and raced towards the castle as fast as they could! Jerico and Samuel were trying their best to win the race!<\/p>\n

\tWhat did Barton say to the two brothers? Why did they race so quickly to the castle?<\/p>\n

\tBarton told them, \u201cGet on your brother\u2019s horse and make that horse win the great race! If that horse wins, the horse\u2019s owner will not become king. The owner of the losing horse will become the new king!\u201d<\/p>\n
